Work is as sporadic as ever, but perhaps that will change soon what with my improving organisation and Keats' increased access to the net? The Taint of Chaos rules have not only been updated but given an overhaul to make them considerably easier to use (and print).

Wow. Time flies when you're not paying attention to it. Haven't got much finished during this gap between releases, but a lot of rough work has been done, which means that demiurg, undead (after some much-needed further alteration), mercenaries and others will soon be added here. Also, I've made some subtle changes to the Taint of Chaos rules, to reduce complications involving transports and to make things fairer on imperial guard junior officers buying a mark of chaos. With any luck there will be a battle report some time during the next few months involving my very own Nurglesque Guard versus Keats' Mercenaries.

Enslavers is something that I've been pondering for ages ever since the release of Creature Feature I. The idea of having an army that steals your opponent's units and turns them against you means that the army is different every time you play, and provides an excellent opportunity for player's without many models to play against those gamers who've amassed absolutely enormous armies that would normally be too large to be used all at once in one game. I'll also add Rogue Psyker Domination soon, as the rules are nearly identical.

Just thought I'd rattle off a quick string of codexes for those who like to try out the space marine companies that aren't battle companies. Some have slight changes, others have moderate changes, but all of them have a strength and a weakness and make for good army lists for those with a special scenario in mind.

I would have finished the Blood Pact tonight, but I didn't know anything about them and I need a break after spending hours reading about their army layout. I don't like finishing without having a codex sorted out, so I dealt with Children of Purgatos, which should appeal to all Salamanders fans and pyromaniacs.

Undead is now completed. More codexes have been added to the list. There are now 174 codexes, of which there are still 88 left to do!

Codex Undead shuffles towards completion, and the Custodes have been made just a little bit more killy, and the Strategy Cards are coming soon as well. Not only that, but best of all, work is underway to add links to all pages to make everything you see on this site available for download as PDFs! The new downloads should have pretty pics that hopefully won't offend the powers that be that will enhance the appearance of our work. Pretty good start I think!

Today marks the beginning of an increase in activity here at Director's Cut. The cofounder of the site is available again, I have my old WDs and codexes all in one place and I have more spare time to work on them. From now on there should be a new codex on this website every week, probably more than one per week depending on how much fine tuning each list requires. Well, after much debate the Taint of Chaos article appears to have been pretty much finished. I highly recommend it (naturally) as it allows you to turn nearly any army to chaos. It can be found in the Codex: Allegiance section.

I've done quite a bit of work since I last remembered to update the front page here. A fair few codexes have been added, but as always for every codex I type up and add to the website, another appears on the 'to do' list. The main thing to report is that the Taint of Chaos have finally been updated after much work and brainwracking. It's not perfect, as I don't have the Tau Empire codex yet, or the new Eldar one for that matter.

The mark of Tzeentch rules have been dramatically altered with the help of Aidoneus from the Bolter & Chainsword forum, although I had to change the rules for allowing some veterans and some bodyguards to have psychic powers as it became too confusing and more importantly too imbalanced as some armies would have lots of them and some wouldn't have any at all, and this wasn't explained from a fluff point of view, so now it's just bodyguards and independent characters that become psychic if they worship Tzeentch.

Anyway, life threw a big hairy distraction at me, so the site needs updating after a year or so of neglect. The nids need redoing for a start, and many more codexes have appeared that need to be posted on the site at some point,  but now that everything's organised, there should be quite a flurry of activity over the next few months, exclusively on the codexes front, because it's the main part of the site. For my first trick, I've posted up Armageddon Command Guard, Black Dragons, Chaos Kroot Kindred and many more, uploading all of the backlog of dexes from home. That should give the to do list a kicking.

Well the gue'vesa pdf are done, although they need updating with their units all typed up instead of the extensive use of modifying existing units referred to elsewhere.

Reminder: Add spyrers as elites choices for hive gang militia and tau gue'vesa army. Also redo nids codices in light of their new codex. Also check that all of the codexes have been transferred from the old website, as the gue'vesa codex somehow got missed out, so others might have been overlooked as well.

Plus change the e-mail address. Yahoo keeps malfunctioning.

Keep forgetting to do this bit. So far, I've completely finished the Taint of Chaos section of the site, which multiplies the number of armies in existence by around 5, plus I've done about half of the chapter guides for those chapters with a decent amount of official fluff about them. So far I've done 42 codexes out of 137! It seems that every time I write one of them up I find another army mentioned in the fluff that could use a semi-official codex.

Now we've got nearly 120 codexes! Codex: allegiance is taking longer than expected thanks to some internet problems but is nearly finished except for the bits that need codexes.

Thinking about it the Kroot would detect a genestealer infection instantly, so I've replaced them with a tainted kindred, to represent a kindred that have eaten too many nids. Transferred all of the codexes from the old site now, so I'll work on some other sections until we can access codexes to do every single one of the codexes listed. Be sure to check out codex: allegiance, it'll change the way you think about choosing armies for certain.

Just added the Altansar Craftworld, Eldar Genestealer Cult, Kroot Genestealer Cult and Ork Genestealer Cult to the list, making a grand total of 102 codexes! Now all I have to do is write the bleedin' things...

Note to self: Remember to add kill-team stuff when I get back and whatever the alienhunters adversaries are to all codexes. I also need to go through all of the unit entries and give them a brief narrative description in italics, as I'm too damn lazy to do it now. Added 3 new ordos to the list of codexes. Just 2 more to go!

Remembered to add Viskeon Mercenaries, Blood Drinkers and Death Company to the list of codexes, making a total of 95 codexes (accidentally had undead twice). Must remember to add guides for renegade chapters and loyalist chapters when I get back home. Also need to add chaos deep striking army from Fire Warrior when I can access my codexes too.
